THE PLANT

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is an evergreen shrub with needle-like leaves and a woody aroma native to the Mediterranean basin. It is a perennial and aromatic plant, shrub-shaped with branches full of leaves, having a height of up to two meters and green leaves that exude a characteristic fragrance. Though best known as a food seasoning, it is one of the most popular aromatic and medicinal plants worldwide.
