Challenges this Harvest

As with most of the world, post covid cost increases are hitting Morocco hard. Energy costs have increased by 10/15%, labour costs have also increased in with the increase in the cost of living.

The biggest difficulty we saw with this year’s harvest, however, is the loss of flowers due to the weather, on average a decrease of 40% per hectare on last year. The long waited for rain arrived in the middle of the harvest meaning a large loss of flowering blossoms due to the wind and rain.

Product

With the significant drop in yield per hectare we were only able to produce a smaller quantity than we had anticipated. The smaller quantity is of the usual great quality we have come to expect from these plantations over the past few years.

Characteristics

Our oil is steam distilled from flowering blossoms. Appearence is a pale yellow to orange liquid with an odour of the floral family / orange flower, green.
